Hours of Operation
The Fun Factory is open to the general public on Thursdays and Fridays 10am-1pm and and Saturday from 1pm-4pm
Please note that we do not open if Mon County schools are closed for snow or ice. In the event of a 2-hour delay or other closing, please call The Fun Factory at 292-4646 to ensure that it will be open.
Cost
The entrance fee is $3.50 for each child 10 months and older. There is no charge for adults accompanying a child. Please note that for $30 you may purchase a coupon books with 10 free passes, saving you 50 cents per visit.
Directions
The Fun Factory is located inside the Mountaineer Mall on Greenbag Road in Morgantown, WV. Enter the mall by General Glass Home Center and you will find us just down the hall, across from the Morgantown Dance Studio and the Senior Center.
Exhibits and Activity Stations
- Dramatic Play: Our fixed exhibits include an extensive dress-up area and a puppet theater. Rotating exhibits also include a large play house, a domestic kitchen, a a restaurant with kitchen, a garage and roadway system, a bank, a post office, a doctor’s office, Vet’s office, and a construction zone.
- Gross Motor Development: For toddlers, we have soft climbers and for the older children we offer a play station with a ball pit, climber and slide.
- Arts and Crafts Exploration: Complete with painting easels and a craft table, this section lets kids color, cut, glue, paint, play with dough, or enjoy one of our directed crafts.
- Manipulative Center: Our many games and fine-motor skill building toys include threading beads, building gears, 3-d puzzles, floor puzzles, sequencing toys, magnets, blocks, and a variety of wooden toys. We also offer large cardboard blocks, soft toddler blocks, and a variety of people, cars, animals, and dinosaurs to populate any town the kids can create. Rotating exhibits also include a train table and a sensory (rice) table.
- Infant Area: For the little ones, we offer a protected reading and infant play area.
