FEBRUARY
February Exhibit: Space
February 7-29
Explore outer space at the museum during the month of February. Children can dress up as astronauts, learn about the effects of gravity and more while playing in the museum.
Having Fun With Health
Saturday, February 18 from 10 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
The WVU Nursing School will be holding a health fair for kids. Children will learn stop, drop and roll from firefighters, take a close look at an ambulance, and learn about how to care for their bodies through fun crafts and activities. A donation of $2 will be suggested. Donations will be given to the Children’s Discovery Museum of West Virginia.
MARCH
March Exhibit: Do You Dig Dino's?
March 6-31
Come to the Children's Discovery Museum in March for our temporary exhibit, Do You Dig Dino's? Children will love learning about dinosaurs while they dig through our rice table for "dinosaur fossils" and do other fun dinosaur related activities.
Tea Party
March 10 from 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
You are invited to a tea party at the CDMWV. Enjoy tea, pastries, games and crafts. Reservations are required. Children must be accompanied by adults. Tickets cost $3 per person. (Annual members of the CDMWV receive one free ticket.)
Nano Days
March 17 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m
The CDMWV will be celebrating Nano Days, "The Biggest Event for the Smallest Science!" Hands-on demonstrations and activities will demonstrate how butterfly wings get their color, the structure of DNA and more. Annual member holders will receive free admission. Consignment Sale
March 22-24
Come buy and sell at the Spring/Summer Consignment Sale. Local parents, Robyn Addie and Jenn Lee are once again hosting a Consignment Sale to benefit the Children's Discovery Museum of West Virginia. Merchandise will include Spring/Summer clothes and toys. The sale will take place at the National Guard Armory, 1705 Mileground Road. The sale hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on the 22nd and 23rd and 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the 24th. Red tagged items will be 50% off on Saturday. APRIL
Hot Jazz and Glad Rags: Roaring 20s Fundraiser
April 26 from 7:30-10:00 p.m.
Step into the roaring 20s for Hot Jazz and Glad Rags, an evening of live jazz music, dancing, refreshments, and all kinds of flapper fun at the Historic Hotel Morgan in downtown Morgantown. All porceeds benefit the CDMWV. Cost is $40 for a single ticket or $75 per couple. Tickets will be available in early March.

Children and adults will enjoy the inflatable planetarium show and space related activities and demonstrations. Cost is $4 per person
January Exhibit: Healthy Teeth=Happy Kids!
January 10-31
Children and their grown-ups can learn about good oral health care through fun and interactive exhibits and activities. Children will love role-playing dentist and patient and brushing our puppets teeth.
This exhibit was made possible through a grant from the WVU School of Dentistry.
Free Saturdays in January
In collaboration with our newest temporary exhibit, Healthy Teeth=Happy Kids!, the museum will offer free admission on January 14th, 21st, and 28th. All are welcome to visit the museum to learn about oral health care in a fun and interactive way. Free giveaways will be provided while supplies last.
